Allen and Betty Pierce have served as missionaries in Equatorial Guinea, Africa since 1995. After initial socio-linguistic research to determine the roles their missionary family should focus on in order to effectively serve Christ and His work here, Bible translation for the Fang people was highlighted as the most prominent area of need. Later, in 2000, based on significant events, they sensed that God would have them to broaden the focus by developing a team, fervently praying as Jesus instructed his followers. "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Luke 10:2 (NIV) (Allen says that:) "With God's help, and after much prayer, we have produced a plan whereby the people here in Equatorial Guinea, Africa, especially the FANG might be impacted on a personal and practical level, while carrying out the purpose of Bible translation, literacy, and church leadership development by Christian missionaries. This can only be done when people are in contact with people. You may just be that missionary!
As you continue viewing these pages, please pray for those that God is calling to serve with the team and the work they are being called to do."
